Golden Tree & Conti’s food January 4, 2012
I just wanted to share my Christmas 2011 tree inspiration. We originally planned spending the holidays in a hotel but hubs sched was unpredictable so we decided to just stay home and hence, had to decorate the house. Decorating the tree turned out to be as expensive as a hotel stay. lol

I originally picked Makati-Shang for Noche Buena, but since we can’t leave and must stay home and standby for hubs on-call moments. I ordered from good ol’ Conti’s.

The year that was…. January 4, 2012
2011 was a year to remember, it was not as grand as you would have imagined but it came with so much life highlights that I’ll be sure to remember. Family trips, birthdays, moving back home. I think the latter was the most gratifying of all. Living solo, i guess. No offense meant to my in-laws they were more than gracious / generous to us, to me since I lived with them when hubs was based somewhere else. But it’s still diffrent having your own personal space. Where in you could do whatever you want, decorate, design, cook, clean – or don’t want to clean. hehehe… Buy, stock up stuff – not stock up on stuff. Have a party, invite friends – without having to inform others or mind or consider them and to think that hubs and I have tons of friends and we “really” love having people over.
This year, i have so much planned for the house – new equipment, add-ons and a few repairs. Here’s to a better year at home. Love it!

Happy New Year!
I wish you all had a geat holiday break with your loved ones. 2011 was a busy year for us since we moved back to R and I am manning the entire household and totally in charge of everything since it was just “us” and Yorie (yaya). So far so good, getting there – buying new stuff for the house.

My first September entry and it’s the “ber” month once again. It’s startin’ to get chilly at night and I barely get enough sleep lately due to Hubs early flights.

• Hubs just got back from Australia for sim training, next month it’ll be in New Zealand.
• Kids got good grades from the exams. Taking a leave from work and reviewing them paid off – I guess.
• I filed for Monday leave to review them again since exams are here again.

It’s exams week for the kids and my four day holiday was partly dedicated to focus on reviewing ‘em, hubs was away for two days in Dumaguete, brought home their famous Sans Rival sylvanas as pasalubong.
“The Good Samaritan” - At the airport while waiting for the shuttle, wearing his casual clothes, a conversation was started by an OFW, a DH from Macau who was previously worked in HK. During the talk, he asked her if it was easy to go around Macau just like in HK (since I plan on going) and she actually thought he was thinking of “trying” his luck in finding work in Macau. Since a lot of OFWs work there. He told her: “Hindi Ate, mag-ttour”. (hehehe)
When the shuttle finally arrived, two foreigners with connecting flights from Manila to somewhere were hesitant in boarding the shuttle after learning that it is not FREE. Since, they do not have pesos or probably the lack of it. Hubs did pay for the two and got sincere thanks from them when they were dropped at T1; he hoped that his simple gesture will give them a good lasting positive impression on us Filipinos. ;P
I seldomly admit it but I really am proud of him that I had to post this story.
It’s Tues at work and I’m on meds to control my colds. I hate the feeling of not being fully well at work and the meds make me sleepy. To add on to this sleepyness, sluggishness at work, C bought everyone lunch at Mackers. Hell Noh! Antok…antok…antok.
I look forward to Friday – QC Day – Holiday! – No Work and School for the Kids.
