A tagalized version of X-Men was shown days ago in local televison. (take note: tagalized) Nakakatawa actually, kahit na ang gwapo ni Wolverine – di ko maalis na ‘di matawa. (bakit kasi kailangan pang tagalugin?!)

Freebies and Movies April 29, 2011

We’ve been collecting the free Rio CD games from Nestle breakfast cereals; so far we now have two of the three CDs. I was amazed at how much my son knows about the characters, even if we haven’t seen the film yet. We then again had a brainy conversation which includes “endangered”, “extinct” etc.

I told him that the movie Rio (as we speak) is considered the highest-grossing film in the world. (This made him ask “What’s number two?”) So, I’m posting this for his benefit.

What do you look forward to this weekend? I want to celebrate and do something crazy. How fast the days have gone and it’s almost May. Maybe I can ask hubs to bring our kids to the swimming area we frequent then. (i’ll update)

Where to?

* May 2 – It turned out that my “something crazy” was to clean house with Ate Yor-Y. We had a little “celebration” too, after a game of basketball, Hubs had our highschool friends Mark and Rico come over for a few bottles poppin’, liempo and roated chicken drinkin’ till 12mn. Family still plans to go swimming, but still with everyone leaving (us to KL, others domestically) we still need to find a common free date.

One more work week and off to another fun-filled family trip we go.

I realize, there’s no point in stressing myself with this morning’s incident with an ale na mang-aagaw ng taxi kahit na ako ang pumara at tumawag dahil kakababa nya pa lang sa tricycle. Nakakatanda ang stress and ang mahal mgpa-bata.

Nakakatawa lang si Manang, matanda na pero bastos pa. I’d be extremely ashamed and embarassed if I’m in any way related to her. I wonder paano sya nangangaral sa mga anak o apo nya?

Bahala na si Lord sa kanya. (ba’t ba ang daming smiley?)

As much as I wanted to sleep longer, I tend to wake up earlier now, even If I turned in late. Regrettably I wake up after 4-6 hours Arrghh… could this be signs of early aging? (Next year I’ll be 30)

Last night, our day ender was a DVD movie, Season of the Witch. Spare yourself, nothing fancy, as a Nick Cage fan, I was disappointed.

At four I was already up and unsuccessfully go back to sleep, at six I started getting ready and Zoe got up too, even if I asked him to go back to bed. Hence, we had breakkie together, my son – being the morning person he has always been (since babyhood), took advantage of the fact that it was just the two of us, hugging and kissing Nanay. It was his time to ask his “reserved” remarkable questions for the verifier – ME.

Zoe’s turning seven soon and a lot hesitant to show such affection when people are around. But in Nanay’s heart, he will always be that little loving baby.

Year ’98 April 28, 2011

Part of the holy week(end) rummage we had was reunite with our old music CDs. We had a great drive home from B to R chill to old hits from the Wallflowers, Natalie Imbruglia, Meja etc. The hubs and I enjoyed singing while the kids made fun of each other and Ate Yor-y (deadma)

1998 was our year. Here’s to the good years and the good ones to come.

Audio Cables and Adapters April 27, 2011

I swear, I’m starting to get irritated with missing audio cables and plugs. I had to steal from someone (wink*) Don’t worry Lara, – not yours. But then I returned it after I got one from the hardware store.

What’s the point of getting these? o marami lang talagang klepto? hehehe, P37.75 lang, wag nyo na iuwi.

Meet the Rafters April 27, 2011

Part of my job is to immerse my class (and myself) in everything australian, our clients suggested to include Australia’s TV Series “Packed to the Rafters” an Australian family-oriented comedy facing life and social issues.

The series centres around the characters Dave and Julie Rafter and their three children Rachel, Ben and Nathan. On the eve of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary the couple thinks that they are finally about to have the house to themselves. But home is a very welcome refuge for their children and when unforeseen problems loom, they return like a boomerang. After Dave faces unemployment, Julie’s father suffers a panic attack, son Nathan and daughter-in-law Sammy need a place to stay, daughter Rachel leaves her abusive boyfriend Daniel, and son Ben moves next door but continues to drop in, the household is ‘packed to the rafters’.

Yesterday was considered as the hottest day so for this year in the Philippines at 36.1 degrees Celcius, could this be a result of global warming?

Many things cause global warming. One thing that causes global warming is electrical pollution. Electricity causes pollution in many ways, some worse than others.

Some other examples of using energy and polluting the air are:

- Turning on a light

- Watching T.V.

- Listening to a stereo

- Washing or drying clothes

- Using a hair dryer

- Riding in a car

- Heating a meal in the microwave

- Using an air conditioner

- Playing a video game
