A reminder of mortality was again apparent yesterday as one cyber friend passed away at a young age of 32. She was married for five years, without children. Sad, but then we just have to accept that death is part of life, much similar to being born. I was again reminded of my Ate Cel. I pray that wherever she is, she knows how much we miss her and how much we love her. I also continue to pray for her mom’s complete recovery, Tita Puring.
As much as possible, I don’t want depressing posts and I just wanted to make things light. If ever I am to depart this physical world. What are my musts and not – in Filipino, huling habilin.
Here they are:
1. Please do not make me wear pink lipstick. If ever there’s a way to get back at you, I’ll do it. LOL ![]()
2. Never make me wear a baro’t saya or anything that is traditional like I’m attending a Linggo nang Wika event. I’m fine with a nice modern dress.
3. Please do not expose my legs, feet, hands. They get dark and nasty when dead and they do not apply make-up on these parts.
4. No brush up look / hairdo please. OMG I’ll really get mad. LOL ![]()
5. Flowers and balloons are fine, roses are good too – if people can afford them, but it’s really not a concern.
6. No more than a week’s wake. Five days, more or less is enough. People have regular lives to attend to after.
7. No cremation.
8. Whatever money solicited or any benefits received would be divided into two and would be placed under my children’s accounts for their future.
So morbid yet so practical. Death is so inevitable… it’s gonna happen so I don’t wanna think about it. Aaargh.
