Sunday bliss….

AirCool May 3, 2011

We are in search of the best, energy efficient, excellent cooling power A/C for the R house.

We’re thinking of getting this from Kolin.

Surveyors will come tomorrow and check if this is A-OK for the R house.

*** We’re holding off on this and we’re getting an inverter technology type from IDEC – less electricity consumption.
Much expensive than a regular A/C but it’s a one time investment, long term savings.

Is inverter air con better than normal air con? (Read it here)

Answer:

In theory, the inverter air con is more efficient in energy saving and temperature control. It’s compressor motor is driven by direct current ( thereby a current inverter is installed in this air con) and its speed is variable. The compressor regulates the temperature by speeding up or slowing down the rpm of the compressor, just like a car engine in the highway. When the desired room temperature is reached, the compressor motor will run at a constant medium speed, just like a car on cruise control.
The normal air con regulates temperature by turning the compressor on and off. This start up process consumes 3times more electricity and the room temperature will also go warm to cool by about + or – 4 degrees during these process.

Materialistic April 26, 2011

Did you ever wish for something material when you were a child? It’s funny to remember all the “wants” I had, the earliest one was this, kahit sabi nang Nanay ko na masama mainggit, pero nainggit pa rin ako sa classmate ko nuon dahil meron syang ganito. Funny, but I did beg my mom to buy me one but she didn’t. Sorry naman, simple pa ang buhay nuon.

Now kids are so pre-occupied with techy gadgets. Name it, PSP, DS, Wii, PS3, XBox.People are even advertising and posting their newly aquired gadgets online. (is it their way to promote that the can well afford – maybe. lol) Even very young kids have cellphones and laptops. Now we have iPhones, iPads, etc. What more in the near future?

New Phone Bye Bye (for now) October 13, 2009

Filed under: enGADGETs — abrilata @ 11:43 pm

Last night I again accidentally hard slammed my globe phone. Im set on buying one today if it still won’t work. But then, my phone really is a survivor. when I got up earlier today. HALA! Me signal na. hehehe. well maybe next time. I told Dar last night and he said ngsisira na naman daw ako ng cell just to have an excuse. hahaha.

My other phone is relatively new, not even a year old. Issued by Sun. So I still have a back-up phone. I was about to inform friends, family and officemates to use my other number in reaching me. Hahaha. So down the drain goes my plan.

Nokia’s Patron October 12, 2009

I never had a non-Nokia Phone. I love my Phone but it’s now acting up. The reason why I’m so into a Nokia is because of it’s durability. Subok ko na to kung sa hulugan at bagsakan lang. LOL.

I don’t want to get a new one right now but then If it keeps on acting weirdly I guess I’m left with no choice.

I’m thinking of an E71. But then it’s kinda bulky. Here are my choices: (If in case I would really be on buying mode :P Barat mode ako due to Dyll’s bday eh. hehehe)
