Abrilata's Blabber Blahs

I’m such a “sleep” person, one reason I hate about the night shift is I tend to sleep and just be idle the following day, and to think that I was just in the mid-shift this week. My Saturday was spent sleeping from time to time, what a waste.

Inverter A/C was installed. Got the 1.5hp instead of just 1hp, ang lamig! It took awhile before I was finally able to sleep. Maybe it’s new, maybe it’s too much for our room, maybe it’s just me, but the kids didn’t have any qualms about it. But then they are A/C babies to start with kaya sanay na sanay na siguro. The A/C’s quite pricey, more than what we budgeted for kaya Hubs tends to tell Zoe ” Did you like your birthday gift?” hahaha and then Zoe would say, “Nanay, did you like your Mother’s day gift?” (just to free himself from having the A/C as his birthday gift -LOL)

It’s Mother’s day today, Paquiao and Mosley’s fight too, hubs and my in-laws are watching it live in SM. I’m sure the malls are jampacked. We’ll probably just stay home and postpone our mother’s day out and have it tomorrow since it’s also Zoe’s 7th birthday. (hopefully there’ll be less people out)

Happy Moms Day to all Moms out there!

* my son just got up, gave me a warm hug and smothering kisses and then asks “Nagustuhan mo ba ang gift ni Papa sa’yo?” (smiles), then says “Happy Mother’s Day Ate” to Dyl who’s eight. loko-lokong bata. Me pinagmanahan.

Here’s a picture of us three (when I say nakakasakal, I meant this type of hugging) taken a few years back in Venezia Hotel, Subic.

Bata, Bata May 4, 2011

Let me tell you about my son, he was conceived when our eldest was just six months old, to make it short, we were not prepared for it, at all. We haven’t even gotten over the fact that we were already parents at 21 and yet another addition was to come. We named him Dezso Alee (desired leader). God had good plans for us; we live a good life, although not perfect, for me it is.

Here’s Zoë way back 2006. I remember I was at home this day sleeping; tired from being in the night shift, Hubs was in Cebu then working. This picture was taken by my in-laws, they were with his Ate Dyl and our yaya then Ate Len-Len, and they went to MOA and strolled in Manila Bay while waiting for Dadi. This picture is a poignant reminder of how hard our life was then, being away with the kids and how little time we spent with them. (Sorry for the poor pic quality)

Sabi ko dati sa pic na ‘to, naghahanap ng Tatay. LOL. This lil’ baby is turning seven on Monday. O, kay bilis nang panahon.

Thank God, life is a whole lot better now. Thanks po! ;)

Last April Hurrah! April 28, 2011

What do you look forward to this weekend? I want to celebrate and do something crazy. How fast the days have gone and it’s almost May. Maybe I can ask hubs to bring our kids to the swimming area we frequent then. (i’ll update)

Where to?

* May 2 – It turned out that my “something crazy” was to clean house with Ate Yor-Y. We had a little “celebration” too, after a game of basketball, Hubs had our highschool friends Mark and Rico come over for a few bottles poppin’, liempo and roated chicken drinkin’ till 12mn. ;) Family still plans to go swimming, but still with everyone leaving (us to KL, others domestically) we still need to find a common free date.

One more work week and off to another fun-filled family trip we go. :D

Yey for Zoe’s Bday Week!

April 28, 2011

As much as I wanted to sleep longer, I tend to wake up earlier now, even If I turned in late. Regrettably I wake up after 4-6 hours Arrghh… could this be signs of early aging? (Next year I’ll be 30)

Last night, our day ender was a DVD movie, Season of the Witch. Spare yourself, nothing fancy, as a Nick Cage fan, I was disappointed.

At four I was already up and unsuccessfully go back to sleep, at six I started getting ready and Zoe got up too, even if I asked him to go back to bed. Hence, we had breakkie together, my son – being the morning person he has always been (since babyhood), took advantage of the fact that it was just the two of us, hugging and kissing Nanay. It was his time to ask his “reserved” remarkable questions for the verifier – ME.

Zoe’s turning seven soon and a lot hesitant to show such affection when people are around. But in Nanay’s heart, he will always be that little loving baby.
